

Kinsman, Helen "Peggy" Margaret - 81 of Halifax, passed away November 20, 2017, at the QE II Halifax infirmary site. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Veronica Fader. Peggy grew up in the North End of Halifax attending St. Stephen's school and later graduating from Saint Pat's High School. She then went on to work as a technical operator for MT&T and later becoming a homemaker in order to raise her son Paul. Her fondest memories were of those times spent at the camp; fishing, hiking skating and enjoying potluck dinners with the family. She spent many hours enjoying the rinks with Paul and Albert. She also enjoyed her weekend tradition spent shopping, playing bingo and Sunday dinner with her mom, Vera, Marie and Agnes. As time went on she became a grandmother to Dylan and Lily. Her grandchildren were the highlight of her days in the last few years of her life and they will miss her dearly. She is survived by her son, Paul (Melissa) Kinsman; sister, Sharon (Paul) Chaisson; brothers, George (Marion “Sis”) Fader and James Fader as well as two grandchildren, Lily and Dylan Kinsman who were the light of her life, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Albert Francis Kinsman and her brother, John Fader. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 23, 2017, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 24, 2017 at 11:00 am in Saint Mother Teresa of Kolkata Church, 6032 Normandy Dr., Halifax. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the IWK.
