Hugh’s career consisted of service in the Canadian Army for 29 years and 10 years in the Canadian Public Service. He served in Egypt and Germany twice. He loved to work on many hobbies; carpentry, gardening, mechanical, photography, helping family and others with anything that required the use of tools of any kind.
Survived by his wife Marjorie Brownell (McGowan); son Tremaine (Brenda) of Halifax and grandson Scott; sister Rena (James McCulloch) of Halifax and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Andrew, Elmer and Albert. No visitation by request, burial to take place in Pleasant Hill.
