Jim taught his school English in Halifax before becoming Vice Principal at his alma mater Queen Elizabeth High, for a total of 30 years. Pursuing further intellectual stimulation, he became a Financial Consultant for 13 years at Investors Group. We extend deep appreciation to his colleagues, especially “the boss”, Anjali Jensen, and Sharon Marriott.
An avid sports fan, Jim and his cherished son, Jamie, shared many special hours “discussing” all sports, especially baseball. Jim told everyone everything about “the best team in baseball”, the Boston Red Sox.
He was predeceased by his parents, Alister and Edna Jean (Falconer) Robertson, an aunt and uncle, Donna and Doug Falconer. Besides Jamie, Jim leaves to grieve wife Beverley, daughters, Jenna and Kyla, sister Hazel (Paul Reyno), and “that dog’s neurotic”, Tessa.
We extend special gratitude and love to his dear friends Morris Traeger, Ken Whynot and Fran Robinson, Jim Kanellakes, aunt by marriage, Booey, (Virginia Boutilier, Seabright). What would we have done without all of you? Also, the staff of Investors’ Group, especially “the boss”, Anjali Jensen, and colleague, Sharon Marriott.
Jim has been cremated. Visitation will be held at J. A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, on Sunday, July 3 from 6-8 pm, with service on Monday, July 4th , 11AM,followed by private burial with family and close friends at Brookside Cemetery, Seabright.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
We hold his memory close, never forgetting the gentle many who gave so much to so many.
