Jane Redmond Gallinaugh

Loving wife, mother and grandmother, Jane was an avid runner and a very talented artist. This led her to achieve degrees in Fashion Illustration and Graphic Design as well as a master’s degree in Instructional Design. Her accomplishments include illustrations for several children’s books as well as the iconic newspaper advertisements for Mills Brothers. After taking time off work to raise her family, Jane spent 16 years in various departments of Dalhousie University.

Jane will be remembered for her sense of humour, unwavering positivity and most of all, her selflessness. The modesty and dignity with which she carried herself was admired by all those lucky enough to know her.

Jane is lovingly remembered by her husband, John, sons Jack (Sarah) and Bill, brother Mark, nieces Erin and Lauren, and grandson Joshua as well as her extended family and countless friends.

Celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ALS Society or the charity of your choosing.
