Jean Theresa Dickinson

Dickinson, Jean T. - Dartmouth NS formerly of Halifax NS died at 'Bissett Court Nursing Home Dartmouth NS. Born in Halifax she was the daughter of the late Stella (Connors) and Louis Hopper Jean worked for Revenue Canada, Bedford Institute of Oceanography and many years with Parks Canada. She was a graduate of the Canadian Institute of Management, St. Mary's University. In her younger years Jean was a faithful Member of the Children of Mary at St. Agnes Church Halifax NS. and served as president. She was also Treasurer for the Northwest Seniors group. Jean was also a member of the St. Patrick's Church Minstrel Show's and loved music.

She is survived by her daughter Marilyn, Lower Sackville NS. Her sons Louis (Heather) East Petpeswick NS. Dennis (Paula) Dartmouth NS. Eight Grandchildren; Bonnie, Steven, Amanda, Angela, Charles, Ann, Abigail and Alexandria; Eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. she was predeceased by her husband Herbert L Dickinson, her parents Louis & Stella Hopper and sisters Catherine Boutilier, Rita During, Irene Boutilier, Lillian Eden, Evelyn Hopper, Elizabeth Hamilton; Her brothers Kenneth, Louis, Thomas, James and Charles.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of J A. Snow's Funeral Home. Halifax N.S. A Memorial service will be held at St Agnes Church Halifax N.S. April 4, 2022 at 10 am. Burial at a later date in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville NS.
