Greene, Jill Louise (1968 - 2020) It is with great sadness that the family of Jill Louise Greene announce her passing at her home in Wellington, Nova Scotia on May 12, 2020 after a hard fought battle with cancer.

Born in Saint John General Hospital August 29, 1968 to loving parents Esther and the late Burton McKnight. Her early childhood was spent in Saint John and Riverview, New Brunswick. The family moved to Auburn, Nova Scotia where she spent her teen years. She graduated from West Kings District High School and attended Dalhousie University. She began her 17 year working career at Walker's Wharf in 1988 which became part of the Fishermen's Market group of companies in1993. She became a stay-at-home mom in 2006 where she was very involved with her children's activities, and was a favourite volunteer at their schools.

Jill enjoyed life - especially family gatherings, camping, the Greene's annual stay at White Point Beach, walking the beach with her children collecting shells and rocks which they later turned into crafts. Her hobbies included restoring antique furniture, cooking, crafts, gardening and walking her dogs.

Survived by her husband Graham and much loved children Fallon (13), Ashton (11), and step-son Logan (Toronto). I’m very sad and sorry to hear that Jill passed away. I have very fond memories of her in high school. She was beautiful inside and out - very nice / kind to everyone . She was unique for our teen years as she stood out with her quiet confidence while the rest of us floundered . I was in awe of her.
If I ever get the opportunity to meet her children , I would be honoured to wrap my arms around them in a hug. If her family are ever in the area , please stop in. I have a hobby farm with mini horses ; mini donkeys ; mini goats. 325 Thorpe Rd. Billtown , NS.

I am immensely saddened by the loss of Jill to the terrible disease of cancer. I has taken down so many wonderful lives and inflicted protracted sorrow to the families and friends of those lost.
Jill's lasting legacy will be the beautiful gifts of her children. Through them, her voice and spirit will always be near.
In this difficult time for the extended family, I am wishing you to remember the good times, the times of happiness and laughter.

Jill & I became good friends at Walker Wharf & continue to talk with our last long conversation, a week or two previous. She had a strong fighting spirit that never faltered. I will miss our lengthy fb chats. I pray that Graham & the kids stay close & strong. My most sincere & heartfelt condolences to all.
Rest easy Jill

Like several of the others who left messages here , I also knew Jilly from Walker's Wharf and later Fisherman's Market. I was always a Jill fan, but then again it would be hard to find someone who wasn't. Someone so special can never be forgotten. Rest in peace Jilly.

Jill’s passing has left me totally dumbfounded beyond belief! She was and still is, the best friend I have ever had. My sincere condolences go out to her entire family, especially Esther, Jeff and the two Munchkins, Fallon and Ashton.

Jilly Bean and I, worked together at Walker’s Wharf / Fisherman’s Market for at least 12 years and roomed together for 10 of those years at Nelson’s Landing. There was hardly a day go by, that she didn’t prank me in some way, shape or form.

She finally met Graham and the laughs and giggles we had, unfortunately came to a halt for me. She did however, leave me with a ton of great memories that I could write a book about, and would keep the readers in stiches from start to finish.

The world would be a far better place, if there were more Jilly Beans in it.

Cheers my Love!

I am heartbroken over the loss of this lovely lady. My condolences to her entire family, and I send all my love to them at this most difficult time. I was blessed to have had Jill in my life for close to 40 years. She was always a good friend with her kindness, great sense of humour and one of the most beautiful people I knew both inside and out.
