Dear Pradeep:
     I was so sorry to read of your dear father's passing.  Please accept my deepest condolences.  He sounded like a great scholar of all things to do with the Hindu culture.  I wish Ram (and I) had had  the opportunity to make his acquaintance.
     I was so touched to read Shiv's name as a surviving grandson. I will always remember his visits to our home and his enjoyment of a ‘big red pen' Ram had put there for signing the guest book—which Shiv did, with such enjoyment!  I have often thought of him, and wondered how you all are.     Please express my condolences to your mother, and other family members.
     If ever you find yourself in the Amherst area, please come to see me, so I might hear of Shiv—who must be quite grown-up, by now!?  I still live at Nappan, Highway 302.  I hope you are well.                              Sincerely,
