Joan Elizabeth Legge

Of Halifax, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2020. Born August 2, 1942, she was a daughter of Andrew and Helen King. Joan was predeceased by her loving husband, Gordon Legge. She leaves behind her daughter, Susan (David Groves) Legge; son, James (Joselyn) Legge; grandsons, Jordan and Jeremy Legge; sister, Carol King; and brother, Doug King. Joan was a proud graduate of theVictoria General Hospital nursing program and of Mount Saint Vincent University. She worked as a head nurse at the Victoria General Hospital, director of nursing at Northwood Manor and as coordinator for Transplant Nova Scotia. Joan was an active member of Fairview United Church and served for many years as a member of the Halifax Presbytery. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 2nd from 6-8 p.m., in J. A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax, NS B3S 0E1. A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday, March 3rd at 11 a.m., in Fairview United Church, 3524 Dutch Village Rd., Halifax, NS B3N 2S1. Donations of remembrance may be made to Fairview United Church or the charity of your choice.
