

Born in Halifax, he was the son of William and Mary Gordon (Blackburn). He was the seventh of nine children. He worked numerous jobs including Morse’s Tea, but spent the majority of his career at Eastern Paper Products Ltd., retiring in 1996 after 28 years of service.
Jack is survived by his two daughters, Monica (Normand) Gaudet and Mary (Denis) Gordon and three sons, John (Michele) Gordon, Pat (Maria) Gordon, and Greg (Stephanie) Gordon. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Chris, Katie, Michelle, Janelle, Jack and Luke as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 64 years, Elizabeth; his parents and sisters, Marion (Sis), Geraldine, Jean and Shirley; brothers, William (Billy), Donnie, Eddie and Fred.
Funeral service will be held at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, 6032 Normandy Dr., Halifax on Thursday September 18, 2025 at 11:00am with a reception to follow. Cremation has taken place and burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hope Cottage. The family would also like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Berkeley Pepperell for all their support.
