John James LeFort

LEFORT, John Joseph – Lost his battle with cancer on June 14, 2010. He was a son of the late Mary Margaret (White) LeFort and William Ernest LeFort. He worked for many years for the Bill Lynch Fairs. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, he was very quick with the wit and had many a come back for people. John loved his wine, women, and bingo. He is survived by his daughter, Reanna LeFort, Halifax; son, William (Latisha) LeFort, Halifax; grandchildren, Shayne, Samantha, Raven and Tallyn; brothers, William Jr., Oromocto, N.B.; Eric, Phillip (Bonnie), Ricky, and Tony, all of Halifax; sisters, Patricia (Robert) Power, Gail (Colin) Bignell, Theresa (David) Muise. John was predeceased by his parents, Ernie and Mary; brothers, Joseph and Donald; sister, Shirley. He is fondly remembered by his long-time friend Etta Drysdale, Alberta. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, all donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to John’s family. The service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, June 17, at J.A.
