The Family of JoJo (Jo, Jolie-Lynn) Trenholm are devastated to advise that she passed on December 7, 2023 at her home in Terence Bay and is now at peace with her soul mate Craig Slaunwhite, who sadly preceded her in 2022. To know Jo was to love her: she had the biggest heart, was passionate, opinionated and always ready to lend a hand to anyone who needed it.
JoJo was the daughter of Melbra Trenholm (Wile) and the late Daniel Trenholm. She was born and raised in Port Elgin New Brunswick with her sister Angela and her brother Wade. She later moved to Moncton for schooling and then on to Toronto. Well, the city never knew what hit it! Jo was bigger than life, always looking for challenges but never meeting one she couldn’t beat.
In the early 2000’s, JoJo moved to Halifax where she found her true calling as an LPN, specializing and working extensively with Mental Health. This path eventually led her to work up North where she fell in love with the people, their culture and, of course, the dogs. JoJo loved unconditionally and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. She was the champion of the underdog and celebrated victories with her whole heart.
JoJo found recovery and focused her considerable energy on supporting others. She was passionately involved in the community. She loved and was loved by members of the fellowship around the globe. It was there that she met-and fell in love with, Craig. Theirs was a love few ever get to experience. Craig’s passing in 2022 unfortunately took Jo as well, but it was a year and a half to be completed.
Jo was a long-time volunteer at Hope For Wildlife, educating visitors while guiding tours and giving special attention to all the animals. Her smiling face and boundless energy will surely be missed there.
Donations to Hope For Wildlife in honor of JoJo would be appreciated.
