June Marie Butler

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of June Marie Butler. Born in Halifax, June was the daughter of the late James Arthur “Dutch” Butler and Margaret Mona (Ross) Butler. June is survived by her sister Barbara Murphy, sister-in-law Patricia Butler, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Beside her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Dennis, brother James, sister-in-law Becky and nephew Jamie.

June was a graduate of Mount Saint Vincent University and received her Master’s in Counseling from Boston College. She taught in Halifax and Cape Breton, and finished her career as a guidance counselor in Halifax.

June loved reading, swimming and long walks along her scenic Queensland route; enjoying those she met along the way. In her later years, June reveled in the view of the Little Beach on Puddle Bay.
