To Wayne, Dolena and all members of the Dickie family.  Sharon Burbidge, nee Allen, Judith Bartlett nee Burbidge and I, Ronald Burbide extend our condolences on the passing of June.  We were all students at Rockingham School in the mid 50's.  We remember June as an exceptional friend.

My sincere condolences on the passing of dear June.  I met June at the United Singles group at Rockingham United Church many years ago and we remained friends all these many years.  I found June to be a sincere and truthful person and you always knew where you stood with June - wonderful qualities. I found her to be a kind and compassionate person and am proud to say that she was my friend. She will be remembered fondly in my heart and I send my sincerest condolences to the Dickie family. Dear June's Family,Please accept my deepest sympathy on June's passing.She and I were in the same class at N.S.Normal College and a few years later we both taught at North Spryfield School.June was an amazing person and will be missed by many friends and former colleagues.I was unable to attend her wake and service but was there in/with Prayers and spirit...Mary Hammond

Wayne, Dolena and the Dickie family...so sorry to hear of June's passing.  As young girls, we were great friends and I have many pleasant childhood memories of June when the Dickie family lived almost directly across the street from me in good ol' Rockingham. Dear Dickie Family. I am greatly saddened to hear about June's passing. In the late 60's our family moved to Halifax. My 4 siblings and I descended upon Duc d'Anvielle School in Clayton Park. My younger brother was fortunate enough to have been enrolled in June's class.  Some 20 years later when I enrolled my son in Duc D'Anvielle  School. He too was placed in June's grade two class. Joshua loved “Miss Dickie”. He thought it was “cool “to have a teacher who was his size. Sadly, we moved to Virginia six months later. 
 Returning to Halifax a few years later I reconnected with June. I enjoyed her company and friendship immensely.  We lost touch somehow, but she was someone who I wanted to have in our lives again.  I allowed too much time to pass and now its not possible for us to meet again BUT  I will see her in Heaven, for I am certain God is caring for her now and covering her with His love and peace . 
June always talked about her niece and nephews. She loved you so very much. June has touched so many lives over the years. How many children did she teach over the years?  I still have Joshua's printing book from grade two which also holds June's beautiful printing. It used to be a memory of just Joshua but now it's a cherished memory of both Joshua and June. 
God bless your family as you go through today remembering June, and her life of teaching our little ones, her love of travel and her determination to overcome physical challenges that would have stopped most of us in our tracks. 
 I am privileged to have known June. She was a really special woman.
