Kathleen Handley

She was actively involved in several social organizations such as Northern Lights, and she volunteered with Meals on Wheels. While her main focus was her family, she was a wonderful, loving, and caring mother who was always inspirational and had an inner peace that was experienced by all who met her. She enjoyed reading and painting and family times at the cottage at Fox Point Lake. While she will be greatly missed we are grateful to have had her in our lives.

Survived by sons, John, Paul (Sue), David (Mary Ellen); daughters, Lynn (Gary) and Colleen; grandchildren, Shawn, Tara, Suzanne, Krista, Michelle, Michael, Erica, Robbie, Mitchell, and Russell, and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Carol, and husband, John.

No visitation as per family request. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 18th at 10 am in J.A Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, (902-455-0531).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice. We would like to thank Dr. Valerie Lewis and staff for their care, and staff at Bradford Hall, who treated her as if she was their own mother.
