HUBLEY, Kathleen (Kaye) Pearl (Moser) - 90, Hubley NS went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, September 7th, at the Halifax Infirmary. Born at home on September 30, 1930 on Mosers Island, Glen Margaret, Nova Scotia, she was the only child of the late Wellesley and Elizabeth (Peggy Johnston) Moser. She went to school in a one room school house in Glen Margaret through to 12th grade, and went to lunch everyday with cousins to Aunt Lilly and Uncle Granville’s house. Her mother was an invalid so she helped look after her and the home from a very young age. She attended St. Peter’s Anglican Church Sunday School and Church in Hacketts Cove while growing up. She married Clarke Foch Hubley on January 17, 1951, moved to Hubley and has resided there ever since. She attended Faith Tabernacle Church for 40 years where she was nursery superintendent, and for the past 12 years has attended Full Gospel Church.
She is survived by her daughters Rebecca Connolly (David), Marjorie Larkin (Willard), Suzanne Lawrence (Bill); 9 grandchildren - Andrew Connolly, Peter Connolly (Krystal), Kim Young (John), Sonya Donaldson (Kevin), Carrie Sandever (Greg), Paul Larkin (Dianna), Jenniffer Geldart (Buddy), Mandy Hill (Nathan), Stephanie German (Chris); and 21 great-grandchildren - Ainsley, Adele, and Avery Connolly; Catherine, Courtney, and Josh Young; Isaac and Joel Cull; Alyssa and Kaitlyn Sandever; Tori and Tyson Larkin; Ben, Sophia, Spencer, and Grayson Hill; Emily, Zack, Madison, Sarah, Hannah, and Noah German; and many nieces and nephews.
Kaye was a devoted and loving daughter, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, Aunt, cousin, friend, and second Mom to many. She loved to read, especially her Bible, do crossword puzzles, word search, lexicon, and bake in her earlier days. Kaye’s pride and joy was her family and her furry companions - TipToes, Princess, Sassy and Mia. She was a stay-at-home Mom to her four girls, and in later years worked alongside her husband Clarke when he was custodian at Faith Tabernacle Church. Although we are rejoicing that she is now with her Lord, our dad, and our sister Cathy, she will be greatly missed.
Kaye was predeceased by her husband Clarke Foch Hubley, and her daughter Catherine Haines (killed in a car accident at 19 years of age). Heartfelt thanks to the staff of 4.1 and 8.1 Halifax Infirmary, VON staff, and Home Care Staff. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Full Gospel Church or charity of your choice.
