Kathleen Frances Stearns

Kathleen Frances Stearns "Fran", born December 7, 1940, in Antigonish, NS, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 15, 2018, at the QE ll Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Harriet A. Stearns (Kinney) and Arthur C. Stearns.

Memories left behind will be cherished by her two sisters, H. Ella Stearns of Halifax, NS, and Bertha Harris (Ian) of Okotoks, AB., as well as many nieces and nephews. Fran was predeceased by her brother, Charles, and sister, Ruth. Fran’s greatest pleasures were the companionship of her cat, Sheba, followed by her dedication to reading. Fran was rarely seen without a book in her hand and although it may be the final chapter in her life, her love lives on. As Fran often said, keep those cards and letters coming.

A celebration of Fran’s life will be held on Monday, February 19, 10:00 a.m. at J A Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax. Burial will take place in North Lochaber Cemetery, Antigonish Co. on Tuesday, February 20 at 1:00 pm, followed by a small reception at the Lochaber Community Centre.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Lochaber Cemetery Fund.
