

Born in Hamilton, ON, he was the son of Thomas and Gertrude Penrose.
Kenneth ran his own training counselling and consulting business for 30 years, supporting people with their personal growth was his life’s purpose. He received his certification on Grief Therapy and bereavement education and facilitated numerous bereavement groups in his volunteer role at Hospice Halifax.
He found great joy in church, playing Santa at Northwood, volunteer work, and being a member of the North Street Singers.
Survived by his daughter, Deborah (David) Stephens, Aurora, ON; sons, Douglas (Gillian) of Halifax; Paul (Amy) of Davenport, Iowa; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Allie, Trevor, Matthew, Rachel, Carly, and Ben and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Margaret (Crewson) Penrose; brothers, Gordon Penrose, Norman Penrose.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 28 at 1:00 pm, with Funeral Services taking place at 2:00 pm, in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, NS. The Rev. Russ Daye / Dale Chisholm officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Halifax and the Canadian Cancer Society.
