

Passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30, 2019, at Palliative Care, VG Site surrounded by his loving wife and family. Born July 26, 1948, in Sydney, NS, he was the son of the late Albert and Mabel (MacKinnon) Martin and husband of Mary Ann (LeBlanc) Martin.
Ken had a passion for sports, especially hockey and baseball. He was an avid Halifax Mooseheads, Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Blue Jays fan. In recent years, Ken was employed by Dignity Memorial Funeral Homes, working in Cruikshank, A.L. Mattatall and J. A. Snow Funeral Homes.
Survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann, of Halifax; sister-in-law, Dorine Winters of London, ON; brother-in-law, Robert (Lori) LeBlanc of Wolfville, NS; sister-in-law, Judy Ashley-LeBlanc, as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and special cousins.
Predeceased by his parents; sister, Theresa Barrett; nephew, Robbie (Ronda) Barrett; niece, Deanna Barrett; father-in-law, Clarence LeBlanc, mother-in-law, Theresa (LeBlanc) Brown; brother-in-law, Roger LeBlanc, sister-in-law, Yvette (Gene Sauer).
A Mass to celebrate Ken’s life will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020, at 11:00 am, at Saint Mother Teresa Catholic Church, 6032 Normandy Drive, Halifax. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Palliative Care, VG site, Canadian Cancer Society or Children’s Wish Foundation.
