

He was born in Calgary, Alberta, on February 10, 1925, and was the son of James Leeder McCutcheon and Kathleen Mildred Ruttan.
He is survived by his wife Sheila (Arbuckle) and sister Joyce (Frank), Alberta; daughter Linda (Ron), Victoria; son, Robert, Surrey, BC; grandchildren Robert and Lori; great grandchildren Matt, Dallas, Ryan, Riley, and Taylor. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He attended school in Dalemead, Calgary, and Wetaskiwin, Alberta. Ken had a lengthy career with the military serving in the Reserve Army, RCAF oversees as an air gunner and RCAF ground crew and CAF Reserve for a total of 38 years. He also served as Security Officer at Government House, Victoria, BC under 3 Lieutenant Governors and was in charge of Security and Parking Enforcement at Victoria City Hall. He was a Logistics Officer (Captain) for five years and served at Summer Camps for Glider Schools and assisted in training schools for future cadet officers.
While a resident at Camp Hill, he was a member of the Veteran's Council.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff on 6 Jubilee West for their kindness and support over the past year. Ken will be missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held later this year. In Ken's memory, donations can be made to The Police Association of Nova Scotia or a Charity of your choice.
