Kenneth Paul Hamilton

February 13, 1945 – March 1, 2025
Obituary of Kenneth Paul Hamilton
IN THE CARE OF

JA Snow Funeral Home

Kenneth Paul Hamilton (Born February 13th, 1945) passed away on March 1, 2025 at the age of 80, after a short battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He stayed committed to his strong faith through his very difficult final days. He attended Queen Elizabeth High School and later St. Mary’s University where he completed his Arts and teaching degrees. He taught junior high students almost exclusively in Spryfield and delighted in meeting his former students and hearing how they have prospered (and how young they thought he looked!). Paul was a world-traveller in his younger days, spending one summer going around the world in the southern hemisphere and a second summer doing the same in the northern hemisphere. He enjoyed spinning tales of his adventures in faraway lands, always happy to bring up obscure facts or places he had visited, especially if it was Chicken Street in Kabul. Paul loved sports, especially football, basketball and baseball, and followed them avidly all his life. He was a loving and kind son, brother, uncle and friend and was proud to tell anyone that after retirement he had run the equivalent of the circumference of the earth more than once. Paul was predeceased by his parents Hugh and Alma Hamilton, his sister Carol McKeown and brother-in-law Alan Chandler. He is survived by his sister Jill Hamilton, his brother-in-law David McKeown, his nephew Benjamin Chandler (Mikayla), his nieces Mitzi McKeown (Cat), Stephanie McKeown and Sarah Lawson (Joe), his grand nephews Matthew Snow (Lauren) and Luke Lawson and grand niece Audrey Chandler. Paul’s funeral will be held at Snow’s Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 2pm, reception following. In Paul’s memory walk as you are able and consider making a donation to a charity of your choice.
