
MacIsaac, Leo Benedict – 67, of Halifax, passed away peacefully in the Halifax Infirmary QE II, on April 9, 2011 after battling a number of health issues over the past few years. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Benedict and Beatrice MacIsaac. Leo enjoyed a career in broadcasting and journalism. He especially enjoyed sports of all kinds, covering regional and international sporting events such as the Halifax Voyagers and the Montreal Olympic Games. Predeceased by his parents and brother, Danny. He is survived by his son, Jay (Lisa) Halifax; daughters, Lisa (Brent Godfrey) Halifax and Angela Walker, Calgary; brothers, Wilfred (Charmaine) Toronto and John (Lynn) Halifax; sister, Anne Marie (Brian) Bonia; two grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Leo’s good friend Terry Smith and the overwhelmingly compassionate staff of the QEII unit 8.2 during his brief stay. A memorial service will be held at J.A.
