

Always proud to wear the uniform, Lenny retired from the HRM Fire Department after serving 33 years. Lenny had a passion for football and rooted for his beloved redskins to the end. He studied Uechi Ryu under Sensei Jim Maloney, he played baseball until he could no longer and his love of nature brought him joy.
Survived by his wife, Yvette d’Entremont; stepchildren, Marielle and Dylan Mantle; sisters, Marlene McGinn, Belinda Pelrine and Brenda Clancey; brother, Wayne; grandchild, Alenna Reid; step grandchildren, Aaron, Dayna-Rae, Olivia, Lucas, and Dustin. Lenny also enjoyed a close and loving relationship with his niece, Shannon; nephews, Wayne, Patrick, Danny, Patrick, Gregory and Justin as well as his great nephews.
Predeceased by both parents; son, Lennie Daniel, and brother-in-law, Peter McGinn.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 17 between 2-4 and 6-8 pm from J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax (455-0531). Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 18 at 10:30 am at Saint Benedict Parish at 45 Radcliffe Drive. Burial to follow in Prospect at Our Lady of Mount Carmel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Huntington’s Society of Canada.
