Lewis "Wayne" Cooper

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Lewis (Wayne) Cooper of Halifax in the early hours of April 4, 2019. Wayne was born December 3, 1942 and is survived by his wife Hazel Cooper (nee Obendorf) of 53 years and children Catherine Dickey (Stephen), Stephen Cooper (Callie) and Susan Cooper (Jeff White) all of Halifax; his sister Patricia Veinot (Ron), brother Colin (Catherine) and his Uncle Walter Bergman; his grandchildren Stephen, Ashley, Camryn, Davis and Jacob and great grandchildren Charlotte and Liam as well as many nieces and nephews.

Wayne is predeceased by his parents Edith Eldora Cooper (nee Wright) and Stanley Lewis Cooper; his brother David Cooper (Carolyn) and his granddaughter Jennifer Dickey.

Wayne was happiest when he was spending time with family and particularly loved to watch his grandchildren in their various activities.

The family would like to thank Dr Nabha Shetty and her team from the PATH Program for their excellent care, advice and dedicated guidance through this very difficult time as well as the Paramedics John and Wanda and The Palliative Care team at the VG 7A.

As per Wayne’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
