Linda Anne Poirier

It is with deep sadness that the family of Linda Anne Poirier announce her sudden passing at home on December 19th, 2024 at the age of 70. Born November 27, 1954 in Halifax, NS. She was the daughter of the late John and Gladys Poirier (Dunphy). Survived by her beloved sons Joseph and John Poirier (Janette Flemming), grandsons Alex and Ryan, Sisters Valerie (Greg MacAdam), and Donna Poirier (the late John Forster), nieces Krista MacAdam and Kate Mintzer, Jacqueline and Jillian Forster, and great nieces and nephews.

Linda was a loving daughter, a proud and devoted mother and grandmother, a loving sister, aunt, and friend who will be greatly missed.

Her jokes, her sense of humor, generosity, compassion, her time giving to others always with a smile and a joke or two, and songs she enjoyed singing will be sorely missed. Always there when you needed a friend, she was loved by all who knew her.

For over 20 years Linda loved working in the emergency department at the IWK, where she was loved and respected and made many lifelong friends (The Breakfast Club)

There will be a chapel service at 2pm on Saturday January 11th at JA Snow funeral home. 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. A burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery at a later date.
