Louis (Elias) Joseph Ramia, 78. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louis Ramia on February 15th, 2016 at the VG Hospital in Halifax. His family was by his side when he drifted off to be with the Lord after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Diman, Lebanon, the second of five children, to the late Youssef Ramia and Anjoul (Metlej) Ramia. He immigrated to Halifax at the age of 20, where he eventually met the love of his life and raised his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Houda (Saouma), his children, Leba (Lola Saab), Helen (Malcolm Perkins), Michelle (Marino Nader) and his sister, Margaret (John Metlej), as well as 9 grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews grandnieces, and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Youssef (Halifax) and Anjoul (Lebanon), his brothers, John and Anthony both of Halifax; and his sister, Helen (Lebanon)
Louis was a kind hearted man who was loved by all who knew him. He was a loving father and a devoted husband. He was steadfast in his faith and accepted his illness as the will of God. He will be missed more than words can express, and his passing has left a void in the hearts of all who loved him.
