Hall, Margaret Agnes of Halifax, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2019 at the age of 97. Margaret was the daughter of J.J.E and Margaret MacKinnon, of Glace Bay and was the last surviving member of her family. She will be missed by children, Karen Hickey (Greg), Halifax; Edna Hall (Kevin), St. John’s; John (Roxanna), Dartmouth; and Leonard (Jane), Langley, B.C.; grandchildren, Ian Hickey (Jaclyn); Alison Hickey; Madelyn Hickey (Vishal); Jake Hall; Morgan Hall (Matthew Norman), John, Matthew, and Katherine Hall; great grandchildren, Charlotte and Marielle Hickey and Roland Norman. She was predeceased in 1996 by her husband of forty -nine years, John Albert Hall; and by an infant son. Mom had a wonderful sense of humour and a genuine interest in helping others. She volunteered on hospital boards and church auxiliaries wherever she lived. Her focus was always on supporting her children and maintaining a loving home. She welcomed many visitors to our home and enjoyed keeping in touch with friends and relatives. No one left without a lunch…perhaps seafood chowder or her famous Pineapple Cream Squares. Mom had very fond memories of her time spent in Cape Breton Highlands National Park (Ingonish), Kejimkujik National Park Ottawa, Halifax, Fort Anne, Annapolis Royal, and after Dad’s retirement from Parks Canada, Hantsport and Halifax. Our thanks to the compassionate, caring staff at Seton Way in Parkstone Enhanced Care, and to the VON. Visitation and funeral services will be held at a later date, in March.
