Settle, Margaret M., RN – Halifax, passed away peacefully February 21, 2016, in the Halifax Infirmary. Daughter of the late Lawrence and Harriett (Beck) Settle. A registered nurse who graduated from the Victoria General Hospital School of Nursing and was employed with National Health and Welfare. She spent the majority of her career as an immigration nurse at Pier 21 and later at the Halifax International Airport. She was a member of the Children of Mary of St. Mary’s Basilica. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by brothers, John, Lorne, Arthur, Allen; sister, Beatrice, and stepsister, Shirley O’Hearn. Cremation has taken place. There will be a mass to celebrate Margaret’s life at Saint Benedict Parish on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at 10:30 am. Donations to the Canadian Arthritis Society or charity of choice.
