

Marguerite was a trailblazer in her working life and had a long and fulfilling career in the production department at the CBC. She traveled all over the country supporting coverage of live events and received an award of special recognition for her contributions during the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, among many other accolades. Outside of her working life, Marguerite was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority. She served on the executive during earlier years and won the Theta Chapter's "Girl of the Year" award in 1971. She also had a strong interest in politics and dedicated many hours to supporting various campaigns over the years. Marguerite's love for her pets was unparalleled, she shared her home and her heart with her feline and canine companions over the years, offering a level of care and devotion that few pets are lucky enough to receive.
She is predeceased by her beloved older brother Joseph Patrick John Ryan, whose love and support she cherished throughout the years, as well as brothers George(Bus) Ryan, and Cyril(Bud) Ryan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, April 12, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1725 Oxford Street, Halifax. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any branch of the Humane Society, or to St. Vincent's Nursing Home.
