It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Marjorie McPhee, Bedford, on March 20, 2018 at the QE2 Halifax Infirmary.
Born in Leicester, England she was the only child of Helen and Laurence Bradley. During World War ll, Marjorie joined the Canadian Army Women’s Corps. Having married her husband, W. Douglas, while in England, she came to Canada to join him after the war. They were married for 44 years until his passing in 1987.
Marjorie had a long career with the Halifax Children’s Aid Society before retiring in 1976. After retirement she was an avid golfer and a member of Ashburn.
She was very proud of her children Stuart (Wendy) and Judith and her grandchildren Megan and Graeme.
At our mother’s request, there will be no visitation. A family service will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
Donations, in Marjorie’s memory, may be made to the Canadian Red Cross, The War Amps or Bide Awhile Animal Shelter.
