Mary Clarke

With sadness we announce the passing on July 25, 2013 of Mary (Henderson) Clarke, aged 95. She was the daughter of the late Alexander and Gertrude Henderson of Goldboro, NS and was also predeceased by her husband, Michael Creelman Clarke; her half-sisters, Lovie and Hallie; brothers Archie, Bruce, Daley, Kye, and Forbes; and sisters Greta and Ethel. Mary loved doing needlework, playing cards, painting, and trying crafts of all kinds, but, best of all, she enjoyed the company of family and close friends. She is survived by step-daughter Barbara (Joe) Mrkonjic; daughter Della Clarke (Rick Beharriell); grandchildren Brian Mrkonjic (Janet Barlow), Tanya (David) Ironside, Kevin Mrkonjic, and Elizabeth Beharriell; great-grandchildren Anthony, Jacob, Kayleigh, Cara, and Will; as well as many nieces, nephews, and their families. She will be greatly missed. A memorial will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, Lacewood Drive, Halifax, at 2:00pm on Tuesday, August 20, 2013. For those who wish to commemorate her life, donations may be made to a favourite charity.
