Mary was born on April 23rd, 1929 in Halifax to George and Jessie (nee Gillis) Power, the youngest of seven.
She was educated at College St. School and Convent of the Sacred Heart School in Halifax. Mary worked many years in banking. Mary married Terry on June 22nd 1957. Her children remember Mary as an amazing and patient mother who created a warm home for them and their friends. She enjoyed music, laughter and friends, and loved her piano and often played during family gatherings.
Mary made the medical books as she was a cancer survivor of over 40 years after being treated with a radical new process in her early fifties by Dr. Bodurtha. Mary’s strong faith was her support in this crisis of her life and was her foundation throughout.
