D’EON, Mary Jane “Sis” – of Halifax passed away peacefully on November 11, 2011 at the Halifax Infirmary Q E II Site, in the presence of family members. Born in Colliers, NL, she was the daughter of Patrick and Mary (Cole) McGrath, She was a teacher for many years in Newfoundland. She was a teacher at Sackville High School, NS. She was a Guidance Counsellor at C.P. Allen High School, Bedford, NS, until retirement. She is survived by sisters Anna Davies, Kingston, Ont., Joan Dunbar, Carol Ann (Ian) and Rankin, Patricia (Walter) Power, and Carmel McGrath, all of Halifax, brother, James A. McGrath, St. John’s, NL. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Ron D’Eon. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Benedict Parish. Father Bernie O’Neil officiating. Burial at a later date in Newfoundland.
