She leaves to mourn her children Robert (Suzie), Karen (Fred) and Susan (Pat); grandchildren Chelsea, Brandon, Kevin, Alex and Heidi and great grandson Aiden, as well as many nieces, nephews; and sisters Carol Candler, Ann Jackson and Kathleen Nissen.

Mary lived and formed cherished friendships in Montreal, Ottawa, Halifax and St. John’s that lasted her lifetime and lived her life grateful for all her experiences and loving family.

A service will be held once Saturday, August 1, 2026 at Barrett’s Funeral Home chapel , 328 Hamilton Ave. St. John’s, Newfoundland at 11:00 followed by a celebration of Mary’s life in the reception hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary’s memory to the Canadian Red Cross.
