
Norris, Mary Katherine (Kline) – 82, Halifax, died peacefully surrounded by family Saturday, May 28, 2011, in the Halifax Infirmary. Mary was predeceased by her husband John Earl “Jack” Norris, 1927 – 2003. Mary was born May 7, 1929 in Halifax to the late William Henry and Maude Lena (Connors) Kline. She had been an active volunteer with St. Vincent de Paul and a Eucharistic Minister with St. Theresa’s and Our Lady of Perpetual Help. She was also a volunteer with Pastoral Care. She was very active with the Cursillo Renewal Movement, Halifax and Florida. Her love for all life touched so many. She will be sadly missed. Mary is survived by daughters Therese (Robert), Ottawa; Mary-Jane (Chuck), Vancouver; Rose Cecilia (Wendall), Bedford; Ellyn (Hillary), San Diego, Cal.; sons Joseph (Pauline), Fonthill; Graham (Judy), Dartmouth; Kennedy (Christine), Hammonds Plains; Vincent (Rebecca), Sackville; grandchildren Sarah, Melanie, Carmen, Jessica, Meghan, Kristin, Brett, Jonathan, Jorden, Allison, Christopher, Stephen, Bronte, Eric, Ian, Jimmy, Katherine, Sydney; great-grandchildren Jonah, Hannah, Connor. Survived by her siblings William F. (Evelyn Hall deceased) Kline, Nepean; Daniel E. (Eileen Elliott) Kline, Brocton, Mass; Robert J. (Mary L. Myra deceased) Kline, Ottawa; Helen T. (James) Lindsay, Halifax; and, many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by brothers David J. (Phyllis White) Kline; Christopher (infancy); sisters Patricia (Raymond) Coolen and Janet Kline. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday, May 31st from J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr. Halifax. Mary’s life will be celebrated at Mass by Father Mallon at Saint Benedict Parish, 45 Radcliffe Drive, Halifax on Wednesday, June 1st at 10:30 am. Cremation to follow.
