

Daughter of James Henry Casper King & Madelyn Rose (Knock) King, she was born Oct 5, 1936 in Vancouver, B.C. The family then returned home to Lunenburg and eventually settled in Halifax.
Survived by husband Timothy Rogers Outerbridge, son Stephen James Outerbridge (Lee Outerbridge) and daughter Susan Madelyn Outerbridge (Keith Pertus), and her two precious granddaughters Samantha Outerbridge and Madelyn Pertus.
Known as “Kingfish” during her days at QEH on the basketball, badminton, volleyball and cheerleading teams. She was “always ready for a bit of fun”.
She studied at the VG Hospital as an X-ray Technician, and then proceeded to work as a Cardiac Tech in the Cardiac Cath-Lab until her retirement; she then took up her true passion as an avid gardener, with a love of Siberian Irises, Lavender, and Rhododendrons. She maintained two gardens, one at the house in Halifax, and the second at her favorite garden at the “Bluewater” cottage in Mahone Bay. She also became a “happy hooker”, stripping wool from old coats to ply her craft of hooked rugs and also enjoyed tole painting.
Maryann had a lifelong passion for travelling with her friends, husband, and family. A few places she visited were Bermuda, Nassau, Tenerife, Switzerland and Majorca.
She had many pets over the years, including but not limited to: Lady, Joey, George, Bridget, and the “Emma’s”.
The Family would like to extend special thanks to Elvie for all her care as well as to all the Dr’s and nurses on 8.1.

Visitation will be held at the J A Snow Funeral Home, Lacewood Dr., Halifax, N.S on Tuesday April 25th from 2-4 pm and 6-8pm.
Interment will be held at a later date, at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Lunenburg, N.S.
