It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Matthew on February 22, 2015. Born in Halifax, he was the son of Doris (Jollimore) and the late Douglas McInnis. He was a talented artisan gifted in carpentry, mechanics, furnace repair, carpet laying, and woodworking. If anything broke, he could fix it. He loved bowling, spending time outdoors, was an avid camper, and enjoyed four-wheeling, playing crib & horseshoes at Sherwood Forest Campground. He was a long time member of the Resolute Club. Family gatherings were his favourite.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Natalye (LeBlanc), his children whom he was so proud of, Ryan (Candace), Aaron (Melissa), and Jordyn. “Grumpy” will be missed by his adoring grandchildren, Nathan, Lexxi, Carter, Kingston, Peyton and arriving soon, Owen. As well as his most loyal companion, fur baby Pepper. Matthew is also survived by his mother, Doris; brother, Peter (Wayne); sisters, Martha (Bob), Mary (Earl) Theoret, Janie (Brian) and Melissa; sister-in-law, Cindy. Many nieces, nephews, godchildren, and extended family. He was predeceased by his father, Douglas, and his brother Oran.
We’ll love you always. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., 902-455-0531 on Thursday, March 5, 2015 from 6-9 pm.
