Melvin Joseph Mcleod

Mc Leod, Melvin Joseph, 72 Halifax passed away August 15, 2011, in The QEII Health Sciences Center Halifax Infirmary site. Born in Stephenville Crossing NL. He was a son of the late George and Harriett (Tobin) McLeod. Melvin was a Carpenter, Mold maker with LaGay Fiberglass for over 23 years. He loved being creative with wood and gardening. He was a friend to all he loved to tell jokes and would put a smile on everyone’s face. Surviving is wife of 50 years Gaetane (St.Onge) McLeod. Daughters Lynn-Marie McLeod ;Toronto, Kim Rose (Cedric) Bourque; Shubenacadie, Christina Marie ( Robert) Smith; Dartmouth ,son Vaughn McLeod; Halifax, sisters Matilda Hall; Oregon, Eileen Smith, Stewackie , Roseanna (Dean)McLaughlin; Fredericton ,Linda (Allan) Molasky; Saint John ,NB, brothers George (Margie) McLeod; Saint John NB, Neil (Johanne) McLeod; BC., Ronald McLeod; Woodstock , NB ,Alcide McLeod; Saint John ,NB., grandchildren Julie-Ann (Matthew) Patton; Halifax, Austin Gregory Smith, Grace-Emily Smith, Isabella Marie Smith; all of Dartmouth. He was predeceased by Brother Samuel Joseph McLeod, brothers in law William Hall and Kenneth Smith. Visitation will be held 6-8 pm Thursday in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr. Halifax .Funeral Service will be held 10:30 am Friday August 19,2011 in Saint Benedict Church, Radcliffe Dr. Halifax. Interment in Fairview Cemetery.
