Mildred Agnes McPhee

McPHEE, Mildred Agnes- 78, of Halifax, Nova Scotia passed away May 13, 2010 at the QEII Health Sciences Centre. She was the daughter of Ellsworth and Geniveve Little. Millie was instantly loved by all who met her and brought joy and merriment to family gatherings and social events with her outgoing personality and her flare for playing piano. Millie met her husband to be, David Scott McPhee skating on Chocolate Lake in 1948. They were married July, 1951 and began their journey working together to provide a caring and stable home for their three children. Millie was a long time employee at Simpson’s and finished her working career at the Victoria General Hospital as a Ward Clerk. She retired in 1995 and spent her retirement years enjoying her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Millie is survived by daughter, Beverly (Kirk), sons Danny (Lois), and Dave, sisters Joan (Buddy) Sims, Phyillis (Fred) Welburn, Marguerite Makin, and special sister in-law Marilyn Little, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by husband David, brother Tommy Little, sister Doris Makin, brother in-laws Bill Boswell, Tom Makin, and Harold Makin. Visitation will be held Monday, May 17th from 2-4 & 6-8pm at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax where the funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 18th at 11am.
