I remember Norma as a feisty, effervescent, determined, friend.  She had a quirky sense of humour and wrote the funniest letters.  Our group of women at Western formed a special friendship and Norma became our Queen.  She filled this role superbly and we included John as The Consort.  We will miss you Norma, but we will remember you and all the good times we shared.  Evie

I saw the paper today and my thoughts turned toward you and your family and  took me back to a high school English class and discussion of Emily Dickinson’s poem “the bustle in the house the morning after death”. I remember at that time thinking I could only imagine what that must be like as i was only 17 and had been fortunate enough to not have experienced it. Yet life’s vicissitudes were soon to change that for me as they do for everyone in time and I sensed that bustle again in sending my condolences to you.  In your individual keenings, she would want her  vibrance to bring you strength.
