

Norman Roy Jones, 67, of Halifax passed away peacefully on October 16, 2014 with his loving wife at his side. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Mildred & Walter Jones. Norman was employed with Canada Post for 36 years, and after retiring, worked at the IWK Health Centre until his second retirement in September 2014. Norman was an avid fly fisherman and loved nothing more than spending time at his cottage on the Margaree River. Norman is survived by his wife, Amelia “Mamie” (nee Hatcher), his daughter Christina (David) Bugden, grandchildren Alton and Simon, son Peter Jones, step-children Mark (Melanie) Gentile , grandchildren Camden & Blake, Michael (Noah) Gentile, Lindsay (Tim) Foster. He will be missed by his best buddy, his dog Milo. Norman is also survived by his sister Shirley (Glenn) Duhamel and brother Ken Jones
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21 in J.A. Snow Funeral Home (339 Lacewood Drive) at 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22 in Calvin Presbyterian Church (3311 Ashburn Avenue, Halifax) at 2pm with Reverend Michael Koslowski officiating.
