I recently heard from a co-worker of Norm's passing.  I was heart broken to hear the news. I worked with  Norm at the  IWK for several years and worked with his daughter prior to that.  He was a great worker.

We just learned of Norman's passing and want to pass on our sincere condolences to his family. We have many fond memories of Norman when we visited Nova Scotia, especially at the cottage in Bayswater.

So sorry to hear of your beloved Norman's passing. The pictures are beautiful and show a very full life with his family. Seems just yesterday you were telling of the lovely wedding you had. Love and prayers.

I was sad to hear that Norm had passed away.  I worked with him at Canada Post for many years.  He was always such a positive, friendly and helpful man and was well liked by everyone whose path he crossed!  I will always remember him at the Heritage dinners, working hard to ensure that all went smoothly. 
It is so wonderful to see the picture gallery and to share the joys of Norm's life. I hope your happy memories sustain you during this very difficult time.

Sorry to learn of Norm's passing.  We were friends on Atlee Court for many years and enjoyed Norm and his family as they raised two special children, Christina and Peter.  Our thoughts are with you.

So sorry to hear of Norm's passing. We worked together at Canada Post and remained friends after retirement. His sense of humour and warm smile will always be remembered. My deepest sympathy to his family from Warren & I.

To the Jones Family....please accept our sincere condolences at this sad time.  Norm is my first cousin and although we haven't seen each other for a long time,  I will remember shared childhood memories of clam bakes on the beach, lobster boils with Uncle Roy and swimming at the lake (yikes, I remember leaches sticking on our arms).  Thanks for the memories.

We are so thankful to Norman for the 32 years we had to spend with him as a family. Looking back to our times at the Davis cottage in Bayswater, PEI and Cape Breton, along with camping canoeing and curling, as some of the happiest times to remember together.  I am so grateful to Norman for his two beautiful children Christina and Peter . it is hard for Christina and Peter to know that the pain of loosing their father will fade with time and be replaced with their happy memories of him.  We are so warmed and strengthened by our friends for the support and love they have shown at this very difficult time.

Sorry to hear about Norm.....We were friends on the "City Floor" in the old Halifac Post Office & also friends again after he returned to Halifac from the valley, and we worked thereafter in Rural Services.....until "we" retired...I will attend the Visitation on Tuesday

Mamie, Milo and the Jones family, we are so sorry for your loss. We only knew Norm for a short time, we got to meet Norm, Mamie and Milo while walking in the neighborhood. We would stop and chat. We became friends very quickly, Norm was so easy to talk to and so is Mamie. We will never forget Norm, he will always be our thoughts and in our hearts. I will always think of Norm everytime I see the "Reporter" newspaper. Norm would bring it up from Margaree, Cape Breton and put it in my mailbox for me to read. So sorry for you loss, I will always remember my little chats with Norm about travelling south and deer hunting. Joy Acker

The neighbourhood will not be the same with the passing of Norman. He was not only a great guy, but also a good neighbour.
I will especially miss our frequent morning chats when we would run into each other.  I would be  returning from my morning walk and Norman would be taking Milo out, before heading off to work. The talk would normally be about sports from the night before, whether it be the Habs beating Toronto or Boston, or his Jays beating my Yankees.
As I mentioned, Norman was a good neighbour and in the winter, he could often be seen out with his snowblower, clearing the neighbour's driveways. Many times this would take place before he left for work at 6:30 AM.
My heartfelt condolences go out to Mamie and the family, on the loss of a good man, taken much too early. Norman, you will be missed!

We were deeply saddened to learn of Norm's passing. May he rest in peace. We will miss talking with him on the "bench" at the "Tent" and "Ross Bridge" and watching him cast his "Bomber" through the pool. Norm was a friend to all he met and he will be missed on the river.
