She was a very active longtime member of Toastmasters speech club. She won many awards and was a member of the executive for maritime provinces and eastern US district.
She was a longtime volunteer at Northwood Manor.
She is survived by daughter Heather Flynn (Ian), sons Francis (Lynn) and Stephen (Dianne) ; sister Gwen MacAdam; brother Howard Pledge. Sister Jean Risk predeceased her. Grandchildren Ryan MacLellan, Tracy Marriott, David and Richard MacLellan; Walter and Danny Flynn. Great grandchildren Moe and Huanian MacLellan, John and Thomas Flynn; Emi and Liam Marriott.
She was the daughter of the late Howard and Hilda Pledge.
