On July 31,2019, Pat passed away knowing she was loved. She was generous and
caring to all she met.
Born on Feb 02,1940 in East Chester at the Ideal Maternity Home (infamously known for
its “Butterbox Babies”), she was adopted by James and Mae Munro of Halifax. She grew
up with nine siblings, all now deceased.
She attended QEH where she met the love of her life, Moe. They married at a young age
and raised 5 children, calling Fairview home for many years.
Pat had a quick wit and a sharp tongue; most that knew her would agree. Her family
brought her the most joy in life (the casino, a close second).
Later in life her wish of meeting her birth family was fulfilled, including meeting her birth
mother. All of her siblings on both sides welcomed her into their lives which she valued
greatly.
Pat passed away at Hospice Halifax with her son, Eric, by her side. She requested
cremation. A Celebration of Life will be held August 5, 2019 from 6-8 pm at J.A. Snow
Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax.
Please consider a donation to Hospice Halifax in Pat’s memory. It is a wonderful
residence filled with kind and compassionate staff and volunteers. The family would like
to thank Dr. Andrea McDonald for her unwavering support and care. Also, a big thank
you to the Northwood home care workers that made it possible for her to remain home
until the last few weeks of her life.
She was a wonderful wife and mother, a loving grandmother, and a dedicated friend.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Moe, and her children Eric, Patti (Steve
Muschler), Scott (Karen), Marlene (Adel Masad). and Tracey (Keith MacKay). She was
Nanny to 10 grandchildren and great grandmother to 4.
She is missed tremendously and her memory lives on in the lives that she touched.
