
SPERDAKES, Peter Craig – 34, of Bedford, passed away the morning of March 21st, 2013 at his home. Peter was born in Halifax, raised in Bedford and was the eldest son of William and Elizabeth Sperdakes. Peter was a very passionate and caring person whose hobbies included going to the gym, traveling, target shooting, and video games. His video games expertise will be missed by his nephew Malykai. Peter was close to friends David, Ron and George. Peter was passionate for animals, especially his “Kitty”. Peter was a family man and had a big heart. He cared about everyone close to him. He enjoyed the simple things in life; family vacations, going to movies, a simple cup of coffee in the morning. He had an appreciation for collectibles, keeping limited edition items in pristine mint-condition. He was an active member of the Atlantic Marksmen Association.
Peter was also very thankful and appreciative of the special people that impacted his life in positive ways, those people were; Dr. Daniel O’Brien, who restored his eye-sight, Dorothy MacDonald, his primary teacher “best teacher ever” and all of his FLEC’s teachers who were a great inspiration. Peter is survived by his loving parents William and Elizabeth, 3 siblings, Sarah, Justin and Angelica, nephew Malykai, grandmother Toula, Uncle John Sperdakes, Jim (Rachel) Prescott, Billy (Marlene) Prescott, Great Aunt Connie Hall, Great Aunt Helen Critharis, Great Uncle Chris Sperdakes, and many Cousins.
Peter is predeceased by Grandmother; Bessie Prescott and Grandfather; Peter Sperdakes. A church service on March 26th (Tuesday) will be held at 1:00pm at St. Georges Greek Orthodox Church on Purcell Cove Rd.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Association or a charity of choice.
