

Robert Sinclair Bell of Halifax NS. age 92 passed away in Camphill, Veteran's Memorial Building on Monday October 16 2017. Born in Bridgewater in 1925, son of the late Dora Bell, Dad served in the RCNVR during World War II in HMC Ships Moncton, Atholl and Vancouver as a Signalman. Following the War he worked in the CNR, retiring after 39 years in various locations, the last being in Halifax as the Sales and Services Manager. He was a past warden of St Luke's Anglican Church Lakeside, Secretary to Trustees in Lakeside, Deputy Chief and Secretary Lakeside Volunteer Fire Department. Dad also served in the vestry as a member of St George's Anglican Church in Sydney. He was a Group Committee member of the Sydney St George's Troop and Pack Scouts Canada.Dad was actively involved as a coach and manager in the Sydney Little League until 1966. He was an active member of the St John's Anglican Church and was chairman of the 1st Fairview Group Committee and served on the council of St John's Anglican Church for a number of years. Dad was also a past member and Director of the Halifax Dartmouth Transportation Club.Dad was predeceased by his wife Betty Joan (Dauphinee) Bell his son Kenneth, and a granddaughter, Tracy. He is survived by his sons Robert (Judy) ,Timberlea NS and Gregory (Tanya) Ottawa ON.He is also survived by 4 grandsons, 3 granddaughters as well as 3 great granddaughters and 3 great grandsons.A special thanks to Dr. Smith and the Angels on V4 East who provided Dad with exemplary care, understanding and service during his last years. A private family service will be held Friday October 20 2017 at the Columbarium , St John's Cemetery
