

Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, September 9th, 1981, Robert was the beloved son of Wayne Nickerson and the late Valerie Nickerson. He was the cherished brother of Kenny McFarlane, Terri Parker, and Nicole Doyle.
Robert was a proud and loving uncle to Rebecca, Ashlee, Peyton, Jordyn, Jake, Molly, Megan, Marty, Calvin, and Rachel, and a special great-uncle to Brantley, Braylee, Kayzlie, Natalee, Riley, Amelia, and Annabelle. His nieces and nephews were a constant source of pride and joy, and he will be forever remembered in their hearts.
He was predeceased by his mother Valerie Nickerson, his maternal grandparents Norma Saunders and Raymond Harris, his paternal grandparents Verna and Donald Nickerson, and his special great-aunt Kay Joudrey.
Robert is also survived by his grandmother Nancy Harris, and his uncles George and Daniel Harris, all of Kaleden, BC. He also leaves behind many extended family members and cousins with whom he shared close relationships, lifelong friends who were as dear to him as family, and his Shooting Star family, who meant so much to him.
From the time he was little, Robert brought joy, laughter, and love to those around him. He carried that same spirit into adulthood, known for his big heart, larger-than-life personality, and his ability to make everyone feel welcome. He had a deep love of travel and adventure, always eager to explore new places and experiences, creating memories wherever he went.
Robert’s smile could light up a room, and his bear hugs were unforgettable. Though life was not always easy, he faced it with resilience and determination, living on his own terms and always showing up for those he loved.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of MacKays Funeral Service in Terrace, BC. A Funeral Service and Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at JA Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. A reception will follow immediately after the service at JA Snow Funeral Home. The service will also be live streamed, with details to be shared once available. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend.
