Bob was an avid Ham Radio Operator and a member of the Halifax Amateur Radio Club where he was known by his call sign “VE1PQ”. Bob was meticulous with wood working and household projects. He retired from Hewlett Packard Canada Limited after 28 years of service in both Halifax/Dartmouth and Ottawa.
Bob especially enjoyed his winters in Madeira Beach, Florida and the early tee off times with his friends. Bob is survived by his wife, Lena; daughter, Jennifer (Jeff Gaul) of Ottawa; step son, Mark Bishop (Charity Kaizer) of Hammonds Plains and step-grandchildren, Braden, Olivia and Wesley; brothers, Ralph (Linda) of Ottawa and John (Sharon) of Val-des-Monts, Quebec; mother-in-law, Pauline Deveau, Bedford, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday December 2, at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday December 3, at the same location with Reverend Keirsten Wells officiating.
