She is survived by her twin brother, Ted Coxford; her husband, Murray; her daughter, Laura and her grandchildren, Iain, Maggie and Miriam.
Lynne was a caring and conscientious volunteer in a number of organizations. She served two terms as president of the Mayflower Ladies’ Curling Club, was a member of the Wanderers Lawn bowling Club, and devoted many hours to her role as librarian for the Choir of First Baptist Church.
Lynne loved to sing and was active in numerous local choirs, including the choirs of First Baptist Church, The Presbyterian Church of David and the choir of The Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo, The Chebucto Community Singers, The Chebuctones, The Walter Kemp Singers and The Halifax Chamber Choir.
The only thing that brought Lynne greater pleasure than making music was spending time with her grandchildren.
A celebration of Lynne’s life will be held in First Baptist Church, 1300 Oxford Street, Halifax, NS, on Saturday, July 14 at 11:00 am.
