

Ron passed away suddenly with his beloved partner Jane MacAdam by his side on April 19. He was born in Sydney but spent his younger years in beautiful Margaree Forks from where he had great memories. His parents were the late Dr. Wilfred MacIsaac and Theresa MacIsaac (MacCormack). Ron is survived by siblings Bill (Irene), Paul (Eloise), Ann (Joe - deceased) and sister in law Debbie. He was pre-deceased by his brother Wilfred. Ron is also survived by nieces and nephews, all of whom he greatly admired.
Ronald was educated P-12 in Margaree Forks and went on to graduate from St. Mary’s University in Halifax. The MacIsaac family owned and operated the Margaree Lodge in Margaree Forks where Ronald worked after graduation from SMU. Ronald always had a passion for politics and later he began work in Ottawa as a staff member for the Honorable Alan J MacEachen, Secretary of State for External Affairs where he met many people and formed lifelong friendships. When his time in Ottawa with External Affairs ended he returned to the family business at the Lodge.
Ron was a voracious reader and a fan of news broadcasting from newspapers to social media. He had extensive & up to date knowledge on all things political. Ron loved Nova Scotia and loved his time spent in East LeHave, the home to Jane’s sister Anna Clare and her husband Jacques.
Ron was a gentleman, kind, and generous who will be greatly missed by family and loyal friends.
