To my Grampy,

I love you and want to say thank you for guiding me and always being there to tell me stories about the Navy or your views on life.

You’re the reason I choose to join cadets and start to grow my pathway in the military. I appreciate you always picking up when I called and talking non stop for hours, maybe I get my yapping from you haha.

Some memories I have is you exercising at the kitchen counter or drinking coffee with my dad. I wish I could have seen you more but I’m thankful for the all the times I got to see you or get to hear your voice.

The other big memories that pop into my head when I think about you is always singing You Are My Sunshine or teaching me how to play cards. Thank you for just being an amazing grandfather. You will always be on my mind and in my heart<3

I love you Grampy,
Emma McGregor

To my father Ronald McGregor, you were a great father. You taught me many things, you gave me a good work ethic; just like you always had.

This brings me to a story. When I was 10 years old, all my friends were going to see the new movie Midway. I walked down to the basement and you were on the bicycle and I asked you for $2 to go see the movie, then you looked at me and didn’t say anything and then you said “no” so then the next week I went and got my first job at 10 and have been working ever since.

You gave me a great gift of being a hard worker, devoted husband and loving father.

Ps and I really enjoyed sharing a plate of brownies on the HMCS Nipigon with you.

Love you Dad, will think of you always. Thank you for everything you did for me.

You son,
Gordon Howard McGregor

Grace, Kathy, Donna, Gordon & family,

My deepest condolences to all of you!!

I don't need to explain or substantiate to any of you on how wonderful of a person Ron was. He was a very good friend and mentor of mine.

I knew him for almost 40 years and he helped me learn and develop during my career whether it was back in the 80s or even this past decade while he was enjoying his retirement. He even prepared me with advice for my retirement to which I more than appreciated and applied.

I know he will still be rooting for his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs and I'm sure he will continue to coach from the heavenly seats. He will be truly, and sadly, missed!!

Please think of all the good times and memories you shared with him to help you heal during this difficult time.

Stand Easy Chief!!
