

Her very early years were spent in Fredericton, Stanley, and Campbelton, NB. She then lived in Stanley, NB until she graduated from high school. She attended Mount Allison University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics in 1951. Later she attained a Bachelor of Education degree from the
University of New Brunswick. She began her teaching career at the Carleton County Vocational School in Woodstock, NB. She moved to Halifax in 1954 and taught in the Halifax school system until her retirement. Rosemary enjoyed skating and skiing and was a longtime member of Ashburn Golf Club. She took language and art classes in her retirement, and she was a member of a bridge club with dear friends for many years. Rosemary was a member of the Cathedral Church of All Saints since 1955.
She was pre-deceased by cousins Jean Allen, Thunder Bay, ON, James “Bud” Weatherup, Lower Sackville, NS, Arnold Harrington, Chester, NS and Ivor Harrington, Lunenburg, NS and is survived by first cousins Katherine Ann Sutherland, Saint John, NB, Mary Jane MacLennan, Vancouver, BC, Wendy Harrington, Hubbards and other much loved cousins in Halifax and area, New Brunswick, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia.
The family thank the staff of 4th floor Drummond Hall, Parkland Estates and the clergy of All Saints Cathedral for their support during this time.
Celebration of life will be on Wednesday May 21 at 11:00am in Cathedral Church of All Saints, 1330 Cathedral Ln, Halifax, NS followed by a reception. Committal will be in Camp Hill Cemetery with family.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Rosemary‘s memory to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
